At Westbrook Park Church, ministry extends far beyond Sunday morning. Throughout the week, our building is home to ministries and community partners serving children, families, individuals, and neighbors throughout Canton. Together, we're finding practical ways to share the love of Christ and serve our community.

Westbrook Park Church is proud to host Night to Shine – Canton, an unforgettable prom-night experience centered on God's love for people with special needs ages 14 and older. Guests enjoy an evening designed to celebrate their value, dignity, and worth while hundreds of volunteers come together to make the night possible. Night to Shine
common goods
In partnership with First Christian Church, Westbrook Park Church currently serves as the Meyers Lake home of Common Goods, providing clothing assistance to individuals and families in our community. It's a practical way to meet everyday needs while treating every neighbor with dignity and care.
Your First Sunday at Westbrook
Visiting a church for the first time can feel a little awkward. We want to make it easier. Here's everything you need to know before you arrive.
SUNDAYS AT 11:00 AM
Plan to arrive about 10–15 minutes early. Our worship service typically lasts about 45 minutes.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
Park in the main lot behind the church (you'll see playground on either side of the lot). Enter through doors 3 or 4. Once you're inside, keep heading towards the main lobby with the coffee bar. Don't worry—we'll have someone there to help you find your way.
COME AS YOU ARE
There's no dress code at Westbrook. Most of us come pretty casual. Wear what makes you comfortable.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Coffee and Pastries will be ready when you come in. Feel free to enjoy them in the service as well.
We're going to sing a few songs, share prayer requests and celebrations, and of course, hear a sermon that will motivate and educate. And we'll wrap up with a song and a prayer.
BRINGING KIDS?
Bring them into the service with you. We love sharing God's word with the kids, and don't worry, they aren't a distraction.
YOU'RE OUR GUEST
You won't be asked to stand up or introduce yourself, and there's no expectation for you to give. You're welcome to simply come, worship with us, and get to know Westbrook at your own pace.
Our Story
Our church was founded in 1867 as First United Brethren Church. A traveling preacher from Louisville challenged a group of people with whom he had been meeting to form a church. After a number of children were converted, the members decided to build their own building. In 1869, our first church building was constructed at the corner of Charles and Willet Streets (now 13th St.)
The revival of 1891 brought in new members. Reverend Williamson from Tow Saw, England, challenged the congregation to build a more central location. The corner of Cleveland Ave. SW and 10th (now 5th) was chosen. The dedication of the new building was held in September 1894.
On November 14, 1946 we became the First Evangelical United Brethren Church and on March 8, 1953 we voted to build a new building at 12th St. NW and Clarendon Avenue. Our first service in the new building which was held on Easter Sunday 1958.
The present minister, Scott Walsh, 2025, was preceded by 30 ministers. We continue a long history of growing in love and caring by the grace of God, our faith in Christ and the ministry of the Holy Spirit
